This build represents a CR.32 from the Aviazione Legionaria, 1938, one of seven decal options supplied with the kit. Designed in the early '30s, this strong and maneuverable aircraft featured two 12.7 mm synchronized machine guns.

I had intended to build one of the more colorful options, but construction difficulties prevented this. Poor fit of the upper wing and struts (and a few other things) required a good deal of brush painting after assembly. Not my preferred method, but with the absolutely smashing decals, the end result is still acceptable. The logo says OSTREGA CHE SBREGO ! and displays a Knighted turkey in an uncompromising position. My translation attempts failed.

Despite the difficulties the build is just about OOB. I made the control horns and re-positioned the tail control surfaces. 2lb mono-filament was used for the rigging. Chrome silver was used for a base coat, and all the brush painted black is Tamiya acrylic. Dull coat sealed up the decals nicely.
