Canada
used a great many Mitchells during and after WW2. Right up until 1960 in various
roles. Briefly as a bomber, then a trainer in many disciplines. One other use
was as a "VIP" staff transport. That is how I did this one. Complete
with the white roof and red lightning bolt.

The kit
is the very nice Pro- modeller with the guns removed, holes for the turret
covered and 20 pennies in the front to keep the plane from being a tail sitter.
Even with the pennies all it takes it a light breeze to knock it on its tail.
The decals are all
from the spares bin. This was built to replace one I did ten years ago. The old
build was not horrible, but the MkII was not the right version for the paint
scheme. So it was re-done. But don't worry the old one is all ready back on the
table being transformed into a target tow.
