I've Always wanted to build a Sabre but never got around to it. With Kinetic's Sabre I finally did it. I was surprised to discover that the Golden Hawk limited edition mentioned on the box with a triangular piece of paper turned out to mean that that was the only option in the box and that all the other decals had been removed. But anyway. I had a great time building it. The kit has fine detail although the plastic at certain parts is extraordinarily thick.

After some minor extra detailing of the cockpit I decided to add interior detail to the rear fuselage which I was going to display separately. That was great fun to do. The engine was going to be obscured for the most part so I didn't add too much there.

Painting was hard. I used the gold paint of Vallejo for the main colour but wasn't that impressed with this popular brands results. It kept sticking to the end of my airbrush which caused it to spatter. But anyhow, it turned out the way you can see in the pictures so I'm quite happy in the end. Weathering was kept to a minimum this being a demonstration aircraft.
