P-40N Warhawk “White 21”

This is my 1/48 Hasegawa P-40N-5 Warhawk with the markings of “White 21” from 74FS 23rd FG (Kweilin – China). This Warhawk (serial number 42-105009) was flown by Capt. Harylyn S Vidovich. Capt Vidovich was a full-blooded American Indian despite his Slavic last name. His warhawk was fitted with larger 30" x 10" early style wheels instead of 27" light weight late wheels, a common modification on CBI theater of operations.
