This is the 1/35th scale MRC OH-58D Kiowa Warrior using the ´´Black Death boxing´´.  I built it representing OH-58D serial 92-00518 from the 2-17 Cav, 101st Airborne deployed in Jalalabad airfield, Afghanistan ca.2008.  The model was built using a lot of aftermarket sets, especially the Werner Wings OH-58D update set, Zactomodel exterior and MMS, Fireball Modelworks decals and M260 pod, Armycast FN M3P Gun, Live Resin M4 Carbines, and a lot of scratch work was done mainly in the cabin area and exterior parts such as wire strike blades, antennas and weapons electrical connections.

The model was painted with Testors Model Master acrylic paints.  The main exterior color is U.S. Army Helo Drab (CARC Aircraft Green FS34031), for the interior the main color is Aircraft Interior Black(FS37031).  Weathering and paint fading was done mixing the main color with shades of gray, OD and greens. Sand effect was made using Tamiya Weathering Sets.

The model is dedicated to all the brave man of the United States Armed Forces, especially the Army Aviation branch that gave their lives to preserve freedom in the world.

Hope you all like it.

Greetings from El Salvador C.A.
