Was not planning on building this one, but the kit was there, I had the decals and the Revell group build is on! So. A 1/32 Helicopter is to be built. This old Revel kit is not bad. The one door was a horrible fit and had to be puttied shut, but other then that this kit is quite acceptable. It was also only around $25. The interior detail is lacking but if you keep the doors closed you would never know. Most of the kit decals are usable. However the numbers are American block style. Very different then what the Canadian Forces uses. So they were replaced with spares from a 1/48 Belcher Bits Starfighter sheet. The roundels came from the same sheet. Its odd, the Canadian flag was fine but the roundels just did not look right.

The airframe represents a 439 squadron search and rescue bird from 3 wing at CFB Bagotteville slightly before these airframes were retired in the mid 1990s.

A nice simple inexpensive kit that builds up rather respectfully.  The colour scheme sure helps.
