Hi folks, I have always liked this scheme as it looks somewhat like a Bengal tiger. I had this it on my stash and now that we are having a theme contest at my local IPMS chapter (North Africa) I decided to enter with this one.

Eduard made it difficult with the decals as they only provided 1 size of crosses for the six positions so I had to search for some to go on the wings upper surfaces; fortunately a friend provided some Ju-88 ones in 1/48. They might be not exact but they do the work for me, they are better than some oversized ones. This plane was painted in the field overspraying the original camo so looking at pictures I came up with RLM02/70 for the upper surfaces and RLM65 for the under surfaces. No yellow was issued although some references show it on the cowling oversprayed. It just didn't look right to me, color pics of the plane don't show any yellow on the cowling.

It was fun to build this kit, I really enjoyed it.

Cheers,

Pablo Angel Herrera
