Another little Easy Assembly diorama, this one began with the Airfix vehicle from the classic Emergency Set - one of that company's best old products marred only by the lack of cab transparencies. I've had this one sitting around for years though somehow I managed to lose both the ambulance and most of the figures that came with it. Great shame.

The jeep might be Airfix too but is on a much lower scale of quality. The Harley I think is Hasegawa and is nice enough for this scale.

The Hurricane is one of Hobbyboss's OK products. The nose is way too slim but, really, if you want a detailed, highly accurate kit, you cheapskate you, then do not buy any of these Easy Assembly kits.

Figues here are a mix: pilot and armourer erk are Airwaves white metal (Luftwaffe); other erk is Preiser (also Luftwaffe); sitting figure is Matchbox LRDG oddly enough.

Main talking point here though is probably the IKEA base. It's yet another attempt in my recent practice of using stuff up - in this case, old decals.   See what you know: some of them may be fifty years old and still surprisingly good.

One of the final picture shows an attempt at using decals to make a "proper" picture: RAF roundals making a sort of pop-art bubbles effect.
