A jolly Happy New Year 2021 wishes to you all!
I was looking for a unique scheme for the A-10 Warthog and thus I came across the Twitter account for the A-10 Demo team. I liked the A-10 painted in Mustang's colors. 'The A-10 Thunderbolt demo team’s jets got a classic look inspired by the WWII-era P-51 Mustang. The aircraft, was repainted between August and September by the 355th Equipment Maintenance Squadron at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Arizona.'

This was a 72-scale Tamiya warbird series kit. The fit was good. Used streched sprue to fill small gaps in wing root joint. I had a spare 72-scale Corsair decals that I used on the engine. I did not do any weathering since the Demo aircrafts are kept sparkling clean.

I had much fun in painting the D-Day Invasion stripes. After assembling the landing gears, I used thin chalk pastel wash for the gear bays and coated the model with two coats of Future Klear. The kit was simple and did not have much detail. I built the kit OOB. I had a spare bunch of decals from Airfix Corsair kit that I used for the engine cowlings and on the wings.

I hope it has turned out to be good.
