It had been 14 years
since I built a kit from Academy. I found this one for a good price in Brazil,
so I bought two of them in a store in São Paulo. To my surprise,
when opening the box I saw that Academy quality had evolved very much in terms of
kits. Academy kits weren't always Tamiya quality, but they have improved, in my
opinion! My scare when seeing that the quality of the lateral panels,
in several kits nothing more than decals or mere blots. This caught my attention. I am not
a fan of German airplanes, but I bought one ME 109 (???) and a
Stuka. I assembled the 109 following the instructions and the build was easy and
went well. I almost didn't use putty to correct the seams or holes. I only used
a little in the joint of the wing with the fuselage and a little in the junction of the cover of the engine.

I took one enjoyable week to
complete this airplane. I do not build for competitions, I build for pleasure and when I want, I do not
build unless I'm in the mood, to have an idea, sometimes I've taken 8 months to
build a kit. It depends on my patience.
I used ink for cars, logical that
before I gave to a base of "PRIMER" ink to fix it, therefore without
this base. The untied ink when you it makes the disguise (isolation) for the
painting on the base.

The positive detail that did
not change in Academy kits, was the decal, after 14 years they are still good.
