This is
my second article on ARC, my first article was about those poor 1/72 F-4M/K
Phantoms from RAF and RN, which were my very first creation of scale modeling.
Though at that time I didn’t have anything but gradually and right after my
first article on ARC I’ve got so much help, so much information and scale
models from the friends all over the world. I want to say thanks to all of them
and specially thanks to ARC through which me n my oldie Phantoms get popular.
Here is
the link of those first models.

Still
the lack of modeling tools and paints compel me to use some techniques and to
think about the alternatives to finish this model.
Here I
want to let you know guys that now as I’ve few Academy and Italeri kits to
make but still the biggest problem for me is that how to paint them! And you
will be quite surprise to know that how did I paint this Academy F-16.
When I
was following the instruction manual for making this kit, I found out that I
would need three important paints Dark Gray, Light Gray and White. So I decided
to use the ordinary house hold spray paints for it because these are easily
available at every local paint shops here and that was the only way for me to
make this model more realistic.
Now you
may see the results. Upon closer look you may find the major gap between the
upper portion of wings and fuselage. It was because the wings were not fitted
properly and I didn’t have any kind of putty fillers. Besides you will also
find more other gaps beneath the wings.

Overall I really
enjoyed making this kit because it was supposed to be my first 1/48th
scale model and this kit was also really lucky for me because right after it, I
got my loveliest fighter I ever wish the ‘Dassault Mirage IIIE’ kits with
the help of my Indonesian friends.
At last, I want to
specially thanks to my calling brother Jung Yong Woo in Gwang-ju (
Republic
of
Korea) who gave me this kit as a gift during my father
visit to Korea
last year.
