1/72 Nimrods

--------------------

Two Nimrods attached, both to 1/72 scale and are very different in size, both were based in Malta at different times, one in the 70s and the other in the late 20s. Both British and operated mainly over the Mediterranean.

My Nimrod Mk 1 , the jet ASW aircraft, I used the Formaplane 1/72 scale model which was the largest vacform kit I built then but since I also built the Nova RC-135 which is also vacform kit.

The prewar Nimrod I made from the Matchbox , modified by adding singhys pack on upper wings, arrestor hook and some lifting hooks on wings, also in 1/72 scale, built to represent one of the Nimrods based at Hal Far airfield which was a frllt air arm base in 1927 era.
