  Chile Independence Day 2006

A lot has been said about this kit. The seat is undersized, so it has to be modified, in fact, I did some scratchbuilding inside the cockpit too, as seat belts and other details for the sidewalls. The other improvements were made in the undercarriage, making the wheels bigger (as they where undersized too) and adding some extra detail inside the wells.

I painted it with enamels, applied with a Badger sprayer. Then, different washes were applied, with Humbrol number 33 and 62.

The decals are aftermarket.  It represents a plane of the 8th Aviation Group, now based in Antofagasta, in the north of Chile.

For the matt finish I sprayed some humbrol matt clear.

This is a model I finished when I was about 16 years old, so having it in my collection brings me a lot of good memories of the school. Hope you like it!
