1/72 Zvezda Su-47 Berkut

  Republic Day in Turkey 2006

Here's some photos of my 1/72 Zvezda Su-47 Berkut (Golden Eagle).  For some odd reason my camera made the plane look a bit reddish, but  I swear I used Humbrol black matt:33 :-D

This plane is the Russian answer to the F-22, Stealth, swept wing and many more new things.  Sadly, due to economic reasons, Russia didn't built any Su-47s after this first one. It seems really cool when You see pics on the Internet..

The kit comes in 2 black sprues and 1 transparent, when you open the box you feel like you ordered the largest portion pizza in the restaurant, it is really big for a 1/72 scale plane.  As big as F-111.

I used putty on several places, but I accept it when I already bought a Zvezda kit.  Zvezda is not a tamigawa, but the best choice when you decide to build 1/72 scale Russian modern fighters.

I wish happy modelling to all modellers and would also like to thank Steve for remembering our Republic Day.

Best wishes from Turkey

Zafer
