Well, here I am
again, with a 1/48 Yak-52 model from Neomega. Construction took
about month or so. The kit is well molded, with excellent details.
But sume
epoxy resin parts had empty holes and bubbles. That cracks were easily
filled with putty. So, not very solid molding? or maybe I got such a kit...
anyway as said details look great, indeed! Packaging that I received
also contained rubber weels from Russian firm "Экипаж"
along with regular ones. Those rubber wheels look much better and
realistic, with even tear radial side lines! The canopy comes with vacuum
formed single part, and requires cutting if you need to imitate open one,
as I did.

Assembly went
smooth and well. All parts fit ok except the wings, that required some more
sanding and puttying from below and under the fuselage. Instrument
panels were painted with tiny brush and then drops of glue were applied
over each instrument to simulate glass. I decided to paint with the standard
"ДОСААФ" scheme. Number 32
is in tribute to my first Yak-52 traning aircraft, that I was flying with
my instructor 2 years ago :) Some preshading was also performed. All
paints are from Revell. Finishing was done with some gloss clear and than
weathered by rust oil color.

Overall This is very well
molded and detailed kit. MUST HAVE to all Yak-52 lovers! I had lot of fun
assembling it.

In conclusion, here are some
photos taken when I was flying on one of my first Yak-52 trainings at Tbilisi
31'st aircraft factory runway with my instructor.
