1/32 RoG F-4F Phantom II

--------------------

Enough has been said about the Revell of Germany F-4F kit. This jet has been built from the latest 50 anniversary boxing, which besides the special painting also includes markings for one ICE jet from FW-71 "R" and one from FW-74.

Being involved in the whole project I also had the chance to convince the guy who drew the decals, to depict  a jet from FW-71 "R" on the decal sheet. Luckily he used the jet with my name on the rear canopy as reference...

The decals are extremely accurate and have the right color, even after being applied onto the painted model. (contrary to the ones from AIRDOC which disappear after being applied).

The jet depicted has been flown on a functional check flight after the stabilators have been changed, with them being not painted yet other than the yellowish primer color. The crew for this flight has been the one who's names are stencilled on the left canopy rails, which does not happen too often. After Revell released this kit, "my" nosegunner asked me to built our jet for him.

Built OOB except for the pilot figures, which came from Tamiya. All the control surfaces were cut out and repositioned to show them in the take off position.

Greetings from Germany!
