Werner's Wings

1/35 UH-60 Medevac Interior set

Product # 35-08 for MRC UH-60L kit

Product Article by Steve Bamford on Aug 9 2011

This latest release from Werner's Wings gives you the ability to convert the MRC UH-60L kit into a UH-60 Medevac chopper complete with stretchers and litters and the center wall to hang the litters for the wounded and more to get everything exactly as you would find it on the real chopper.  Floyd Werner is the owner of Werner's Wings and a former combat pilot, so he knows his stuff inside and out.

The masters for this set were created by Joseph Szczygielski and I'm very impressed with his attention to detail and ease of assembly.

The quality of the resin casting is flawless and bubble free with a very thin layer of flash that is easy to remove.

This set includes the following items:

  • Two bulkheads (left and right)

  • Vertical Stretcher Holder (center wall) which rotates on the Carousel rotating parts and pins

  • Deliberator bag

  • First Aid Kit

  • Carousel rotating parts

  • 4 stretchers

  • Head/Neck stabilizer

  • Oxygen bottle

  • Fire Extinguisher

  • Fire- gel blanket container

  • Backboard

  • 4 litter trays

  • Litter tray strips......these are resin pieces to simulate the wooden parts on the litter trays

You also get 2 pages of instructions with 9 photos showing the process to install this set as well as photos of the real chopper interior.

For decals, Werner Wings also has stencils decal sheet and a markings decal sheet to create an accurate medical evac chopper.

I am very impressed by this set.  I've always had a interest in Medi Evac choppers and this set permits the modeler to easily and accurately create their own UH-60 Medi Evac chopper with a minimum of effort that will yield impressive results.  This is an excellent conversion set and well worth picking up to make yourself a truly eye catching chopper loaded with wonderful detail.  Well done Werner's Wings.

You can purchase these and other fine resin detail items directly from Werner's Wings website.

I would like to thank Werner's Wings for providing me with this review sample.
