Here's a review of a
new release from Twobobs
celebrates the Centennial of Naval Aviation with heritage markings for
F/A-18E/F's from VFA-106 and VX-9. Included in this decal sheet
is a full set of markings for both aircraft.
Each of the Twobobs
centennial products feature a 3" pressure sensitive sticker of the official
logo of the Centennial of Naval Aviation, which is perfect for a diorama base
for your model.
Twobobs has worked
directly with the US Navy as a licensed provider of decal markings to celebrate
this historic event and was the first decal manufacturer to receive a licensing
agreement with the US Navy!
The aircraft include
the following:
-
F/A-18F, BuNo
166673 with VX-9 Vampires from NAS China Lake in February
2011. The paint scheme is gray overall with black tails and hi-Viz
markings.
-

The instructions are
clear and include 4 views of each aircraft and include small walkaround photos
of the two aircraft featured on this decal sheet. Paint codes are called
out in FS #'s, Testors MM, Humbrol, Gunze Sangyo and Xtracrylics.
It's good to see the Super Hornet
represented in these new Centennial of Naval Aviation decal sheets. VX-9
is a very unique squadron with it's role of Air Test and Evaluation of numerous
different aircraft types and it cool to see these two jets on this decal sheet.
This sheet is available through
the Twobobs
website and select US Hobby Shops. Overseas customers can purchase these from
Twobobs site or through Twobobs network of overseas distributors.
