F9F-2/3 Corrected Fighter Nose for Trumpeter/HobbyCraft. Since the Trumpeter/HobbyCraft fighter nose in the F9F-2 and F9F-3 kits is far too "pointy" and has too much of a downward cant, we've created this corrected fighter nose that snaps right onto the Trumpeter/HobbyCraft fuselage and significantly improves the look of the model's front end.  $14.99

F9F Corrected "Cougar Nose" for Panther & Cougar for Trumpeter/HobbyCraft/FM. Late in their service lives, many F9F-2 and F9F-5 Panthers received the same AN/ARA-25 UHF set as was fitted to most F9F-6 through F9F-8 Cougars. This unit was housed in the nose and required a large fairing to be applied to the bottom of the fighter's "gun nose." We've created a properly shaped fairing that can be applied to the Trumpeter/HobbyCraft F9F-2 (and Teknics set TK48086 F9F-2/F9F-3 Corrected Fighter Nose), and the Monogram/Revell F9F-5. It will also replace the much too narrow fairing on the Fonderie-Miniature F9F-8 Cougar kit.   $7.99

TK48090

F9F-2P Corrected Recce Nose & Cameras for Trumpeter/HobbyCraft. The F9F-2P was modified from the F9F-2 fighter, and the camera windows were simply cut into the existing fighter nose shape. The -2P had one large window on the upper left side and two smaller square windows on the lower centerline. (Note the later recce Panther, the F9F-5P, had a longer nose than the F9F-5 fighter, and it had a large camera window on each side of the nose). Unfortunately the Trumpeter F9F-2P kit has the same "too pointy" nose shape problems as their F9F-2 and F9F-3 fighter kits; in fact the noses in all three kits have exactly the same shape. Furthermore, the large upper window is the wrong shape, the wrong size, and in the wrong location, and Trumpeter/HobbyCraft does not provide any semblance of the internal cameras. This Teknics set corrects the nose shape, the upper left camera window shape, size, and location, and provides camera lenses that will show through the clear windows.  $19.99
