There is some bad news
about Humbrol Ltd, which is the parent company of the Humbrol and Airfix
lines of hobby products. Click
here for the press release. I have no interest in speculating
further on this. I wish all involved at Airfix.....especially the
workers that have lost their jobs all the very best in this very
distressing time. I hope an investor is found to put the company
back on track. I have fond memories of building Airfix kits in my
childhood.

Aug 7 2006 Cote d'lvoire National Day |
No
update today. I ended up sleeping about 4 to 5 hours each
night while I was attending the Kansas City Nationals and the final
night I sat up talking with a handful of friends in the hotel lobby
(we REALLY didn't want it to end). On the first leg of the
plane ride home I had a great time talking to a new friend Randy
from Large
Scale Planes from California. Needless to say by the time
I got home at noon Sunday I was seriously in need of a good night
sleep. I need to transfer all my ARC files from my laptop back
to my desktop. I'll start to compile my remaining 400 photos
from the Nats and will have some on ARC for Tuesday's update. If
you have people photos from the Nats you'd like included on
ARC.....e-mail them to me
here.

I'll be heading out Tuesday
to the USA IPMS
Nationals in Kansas
City. I look forwards to meeting many ARC'ers this week in Kansas
city......it will be quite the party. If you live close by and
weren't planning on going.....it isn't too late to change your mind and
join us in Kansas City.
A
Reminder....Gee,
I Wish I Could Have Gone To The Nationals
SUPER SALE at
Meteor.
A

Drakendk
is here with his
1/72 Airfix BAC Strikemaster.
Drakendk finished his model with resin and vac-u-formed
aftermarket items and chose the markings
for the Omani Air Force to finish his Strikemaster.

Chas Bunch
joins us
with his two 1/48 Eduard P-40M Profipack.
Both of these models look very finely finished and the photos are
well worth looking at. Some aftermarket items and decals were
used to get these models looking even better.
