Glenn "wingnut" Bontigao is here with his 1/72 Hasegawa F-86D Sabredog in PAF colors.   Glenn has done a first class job finishing his Sabredog in a bare metal finish.  He then finished it on in the markings for the Philippines Air Force.

I completed the CD year books for my 2 daughters classes with 10 minutes to spare.  This required staying up all Wednesday night to have the CD's completed and over 50 CD's burned for the two classes and turned over to the teachers by 8:45am.  The CD's are basically websites contained on CD's with a homepage and many articles leading to hundreds of photos and and about 8 short videos.  I also included auto-load programs so the CD's would load automatically.  Photos included fieldtrips, artwork by the kids and classroom parties etc.  Videos included singing performances and even the year end tug-of-war between the grades at the year end All Fun Day (as well as other events).  I'm heading to bed early Thursday evening and I will have the Friday update loaded by about 3pm New York time.  Thanks for your patience everyone.

Madagascar Independence Day

No update today.  I'm deep into the editing of over 40 short videos for the CD year books for my two daughters.  Needless to say I'm seriously crunching as the Thursday morning deadline draws near.  A series of program glitches have slowed me down.  I'll be shooting more photos and videos at year end parties on Tuesday and Wednesday....then processing the new material and creating dozens of copies of the 2 CD's on Wednesday night.

Simon Chidlow is here with his first article on ARC today.  Simon chose the classic 1/24 Airfix Supermarine Spitfire Mk-1A as his first model on ARC.  I must admit I quite liked seeing how well Simon's Spitfire turned out and I look forward to seeing more of his articles on ARC in the future.  Welcome to ARC Simon!!!

Chee Wee, SIm is here with the classic 1/48 ESCI Alpha Jet E.   Chee Wee found this older kit to be reasonably decent and his finished Alpha jet is an excellent looking model of this jet trainer.

Steve "Cloggy" Cladingboel has dropped by the ARC corporate offices in the UK with his 1/72 Heller Nord Noratlas 50th Anniversary.  This is an older kit that Steve used aftermarket decals on.  Although it wasn't a perfectly fitting kit, Steve stuck with it and turned out a fine looking model of this unique looking cargo plane.

  • Si Tomlinson has been busy finishing his 1/48 Tamiya Fw-190 F8 in a complicated looking winter camo scheme.  Si used some after market detail tiems and I found his technique for doing the instrument panel worth reading about....easy but effective.  I admire people that can pull off these complicated camo schemes so well.  Well done Si.

  • Robert Foster joins us for the first time on ARC with a good selection of his sharp looking 1/48 Harriers.  Robert has included 3 of his Harriers today....including one of my favourites....the two seater.   Very nice Harriers Robert.....wellcome to ARC!!!

  • Rick Lorenz has been busy getting the markings and details right on his 1/48 Tamiya F-51D.  This is a Korean War Mustang that Rick researched and then pieced together markings etc to make it happen.  Once you see his photos, I think you'll agree Rick's effort were well worth it.

  • James "Doc" Maloney is here with 5 photos of the Osprey in flight.  It's good to see this bird in flight.
