Kees Kuyper joins us from the Netherlands with his Air Cooled Mustang Air Racer.  Now you can see what the Mustang would look like with an air cooled radial engine.  It's fun to see...this really changes the looks of the sleek P-51.  Well done Kees.....I would have never thought of this idea.

Alvis 3.1 gets things started today with exclusive photos relating to Star Wars Episode VIII.  Somehow Alvis 3.1 has an inside track on 2 of the new Droids that will be featured in this movie.  Very amusing indeed.

Ole A. Hoel joins us from Norway with his  very believable what-if 1/72 Twin Spitfire.  Ole tells the whole history for this long range multi-role aircraft.  I enjoyed seeing his photos and reading his article...very cool indeed.

Kees Kuyper joins us from the Netherlands with his first article 2015.  This is his Me-109 Floatplane in North African camo complete with floats.  It's a very sleek looking float plane.....beautifully done Kees.

WW1 Events - this date in  1915
  • The Russian offensive in the Carpathians begins. It will continue until April 12.   January 2

Alvis 3.1 is here with his very amusing 1/24 Bell/Volkswagen Heli-Combi to take you to an alternate universe where Abbie Hoffman became President and Hippies won the Vietnam War.  This is Silly Week in all it's glory.

Hal Elsberry is here in true Silly Week style with his Platypus.  Hal built his "post zombie apocalypse truck" in a very amusing way complete with a highway sing for the engine cover.  Hal's fertile sense of humor always makes me grin during silly Week.

Dave Bailey is here with his what-if 1/72 Frog/Novo Supermarine Corbeau.  Dave has included the full history of this Belgium aircraft and it's role in the Congo in post WW2 time.  It is always a please to see Dave's models on ARC.....he is a Silly Week regular

Welcome to 2015 and Silly Week 2015.

Silly Week is a long standing tradition on ARC and features all manner of "what-if" and very different models.  Basic anything goes ...the only thing that you will NOT see on ARC during Silly Week are serious aircraft models.

Send in your articles.......there is plenty of room for your models.   Click here to send in your article.

I hope you all had a good time last night ringing in the New Year.  I quietly celebrated the beginning of the New Year at home with my wife as I enjoyed a cup of warm tea from my Uncle Bill's Hobby coffee mug that Uncle Rick Chin gave me.  I hope you all have a healthy 2015.

Alvis 3.1 get Silly Week off to a booming start with his article entitled Where no Jedi  has gone before... This is what happens when Star Trek meets Star Wars....oh I can hear the Sci-fi purists shrieking already.  LOL   Well done Alvis 3.1!!!

Dave Bailey, aka The Rat is here with his first Silly Week article of 2015.  This is his What-if RCAF Bowrider SAR in all it's glory.  The cool thing about this what-if model is it looks very believable.  Welcome back to Silly Week for another Year Dave!!!

Kees Kuyper joins us from the Netherlands with another of his what-if designs.  This is his Single boom P-38 which looks like a very sleek design and a good way to save money on the cost of aircraft production.  I like this design alot....welcome to Silly Week 2015 Kees and I hope to see more of your models on ARC in the coming 7 days.
