Shows this weekend include:

Eric Morningstar begins today with his 4th model on ARC.  This is the classic 1/72 Hasegawa AH-1 Skyraider built to a very high standard with the assistance of aftermarket cockpit upgrades from Aires, wing folds from Wolfpack and some resin wing racks by Quickboost.  Eric pulled this project together with great skill and his weathering job to show the exhaust stains is fantastic and beautifully executed.  This is one sweet looking Skyraider.

Kees Kuyper has been very creative building his Osprey all weather helicopter.  This what-if chopper belongs to subcompany of Arcair named A.H.S. (Arcair Helicopter Services) and is quite the creative project and looks quite viable for an aircraft.  It's a treat to see your latest work on ARC Kees.

WW1 Events - this date in  1916

Thomas Brückelt joins us today with his very interesting 1/72 Bird Models Lippisch P.01-116 2nd design.  This little fighter had a jet engine plus a rocket motor and Thomas reworked most areas of his little resin model to make it more accurate and better detailed.  In the end Thomas was rewarded with quite the attractive little aircraft sporting desert camo.  I love the look of this aircraft.

David Mielke - "VMFA314Knights" joins us today with his classic 1/48 Tamiya Mitsubishi A6M2.  David built his Zero OOB with added seatbelts and finished his sharp looking fighter in the markings for a Japanese Ace with 10 victories that was KIA in late 1944.  Beautiful work David.

Angelo M Picardo starts today with his exceptional 1/32 Kitty Hawk OV-10A Bronco.  Angelo added some detail to the cockpit and then gave his Bronco a lovely weathering job and markings for a USMC bird during the Vietnam war.  Beautiful work Angelo. 

Gavin Parnaby is here with some excellent step by step guidance to building a more accurate 1/72 Revell Horten Ho229A-1.  Gavin added the Eduard and Airwaves cockpit detail sets and then carefully built and modified all the tiny details that are critical to building this kit into a more accurate model.  His article is a very helpful and fascinating read.  Beautifully done Horten flying wing Gavin.

Bernard Lapeyrie added a variety of aftermarket detail sets to his 1/48 Revell Canadair Sabre Mk.6.  Bernard then made some custom decals for what are probably the coolest Sabre markings with their roots going back to Erich Hartmann's fighter from WW2.  

Shawn "phantom" Weiler is here with A couple 1/48 Esci CH-136 Kiowas.  They are wearing quite different schemes using Belcher Bits decals and as an added bonus Shawn includes one of his stories from his days in the military.

Mike Muth starts today with his exceptional looking 1/48 Eduard Fokker D.VII (OAW).  Mike explains some very critical history about the Fokker D.VII and why the Eduard kit is such a treat to build.  He also shows you some photos of this WW1 beauty that will inspire everyone.  I love the job you did on this one Mike.

Dragan Cvetic did a very fine job on his tiny 1/144 Dragon/Italeri MiG-29.  Dragan was not impressed with the Dragon/Italeri kit, but that didn't stop him from building a sweet looking MiG-29.  Nicely done Dragan.

Waldemar Pupar joins us from Poland with his amazing build of the classic 1/72 Revell Buccaneer S Mk 2B.  Waldemar added a weapons load and crew figures along with a full desert camo and weathering job and great noseart.  This is one great looking Buccaneer.

Jens Gerber is here with his flawless 1/48 Eduard Bf 109 G5 wearing a very interesting looking camo.  Jens used EZ Line for the antenna wire and built the rest of his sharp looking 109 out of the box with excellent results.  I love the look of the camo on this Gustav.

Emre Tuzun has done a stunning build of the 1/48 Italeri AH-1W Super Cobra.  Emre added Cobra Company's resin cockpit set and Werner's Wings 2-tube TOW launchers along with other scratchbuilt details and then finished his Cobra as the chopper his friend flew for the Turkish military.  The paint work and detailing is exceptionally well done.

Burt Gustafson has done a very nice build of the 1/48 Trumpeter F9F-2 Panther.  Burt tells the history of this Korean War American jet and explains about the build process.  It is a treat to see his USN Panther on ARC today.

Sertac Bayar joins us from Turkey with his highly detailed 1/24 Revell AB-204 (UH-1B Conversion).  Sertac added some excellent scratchbuilt details as you will see in his in-progress photos.  He finished this beauty in Turkish Navy markings.  I love the detail Sertac added to his chopper.

Shawn "phantom" Weiler is here with his very special 1/48 Hasegawa YF-4D Phantom #184.  Shawn added a resin cockpit and aftermarket decals to create his YF-4D.  Shawn has also included photos of his Phantom display case.

Iván Aceituno C. has done an exceptional job detailing and painting his 1/48 Kittyhawk MIG-25PDS Iraq "Hornet Killer".  Iván added scratch built details as well as aftermarket sets and did a fascinating pre-shading job giving his model a  full camo paint job and darkened panel lines before finishing it in the monotone paint job.  The pre-shading shows up as stunning weathering.  Check out his photos...the weathering is stunning.

Gavin Parnaby is here with a very rare version of the 109.  This is his  1/72 MPM Bf 109H built with some scratchbuilding and aftermarket items to create this cool looking photo recon Luftwaffe fighter.  Gavin includes the history of the 109H along with what he did to create this special 109.  I love the long wings.

Burt Gustafson joins us with his eye catching 1/48 Airfix F.1A English Electric.  Burt includes some quite interesting background info about the RAF Lightning as well as what was required to build this gem.  Burt chose the attractive colors of the Firebirds aerobatic team.  I love the red and bare metal paint scheme.

Artur Domanski builds in the larger scales and adds an impressive amount of detail to his models.  Artur's 1/32 Tamiya Mustang IV is beautifully detailed using aftermarket items and some very skillful work by Artur.  Enjoy all 35 photos...this one is a beauty. 

Gerd Wilcken is here with another of his 144 wonders.  This is his 1/144 Revell F-15E Strike EagleTiger Meet of the Americas built to a very high standard with missiles and drop tanks.  Gerd built an attractive base to display his Strike Eagle.  This is one very sweet looking F-15E.

Shawn "phantom" Weiler has done a stunning job on his 1/48 Hasegawa RF-4E Phantom #183.  This is a greek anniversary scheme complete with crew figures and colourful tail art.  Shawn has also included a photo of some of his many Phantoms.


Phillip Steele has added extra detailing to the interior and exterior of his 1/72 Hobby Boss Mi 4 Hound.  As a finishing touch Phillip drooped the rotor blades and added a tiny bit of weathering to complete this gem.

Bernard Lapeyrie begins today with a very exciting air to air scene of an USAF F-86 shooting down a North Korean MiG-15 in Sky of Korea - 1/48.  Bernard has the MiG pilot halfway through the ejection sequence with his canopy behind his aircraft.  There is no doubt about it...this is one very cool dogfight diorama.

Mike Regan is here with his 8th Seafire.  This is his gorgeous 1/48 Airfix Seafire FR.47 in all it's glory.  Mike includes the history of the Seafire as well as what he did to build this beauty.

Ed Adams starts today with his 2nd model on ARC.  This is his 1/32 Kitty Hawk T-28B with some added detailing and stellar weathering.  The custom decals and weathering do a wonderful job bringing this one to life. Beautifully done Ed.

Jens Gerber has been busy at his workbench again.  This is his 1/48 Hasegawa Arado 234 B2 with added cockpit detailing and finished in a very well done camo paint job.  Jens equipped his 234 with quite the bomb.   Well done Jens.

Here's a product article for the 1/32 Su-27 intake correction set from Zactomodels.  This resin set does a wonderful job correcting the Trumpeter kit parts on the Su-27B.  Trumpeter has 'retooled' this part of their kit on the SU-27UB, Su-30MKK and newer releases of the Su-27 Flanker B.

Fishbone Inc starts this special Independence Day update with their very sharp looking 1/72 F-15C Oregon ANG 75th Anniversary.  This F-15 is built to a very high standard using some amazing markings.

Carmel J. Attard has done a stunning job on his 1/72 Rareplanes Bell P-59 Airacomet.  Carmel used his skills to add extra detail to his model and then finish it as one of the first American jets.  Carmel also tells the history of the P-59 and it is a very interesting read.

John Smalbrugge is here to honour Canada day with his very sharp looking 1/32 Hasegawa P-51D's.  Both of these are RCAF birds wearing quite different schemes from the 1950's.  Decals for this one came from Leading Edge Models.  John is a true Canuck and his Mustangs are a treat to see on ARC on this special day for Canada.  Beautiful work John, I love Canadian Mustangs.....Happy Canada Day.


Shawn "phantom" Weiler has a bazzilion models on ARC but this one has got to be the coolest.  It is his 1/32 Czech Model CT-133 Silver Star with the rearseater in the midst of ejecting.  Shawn used goodies from Belcher Bits and Shawn's parts bin and pulled it all together with his well honed scratchbuilding skills.  The finished model would be quite the eye catcher at any show.  I love it....Happy Canada Day Shawn.
